Charles-Antoine Coypel IV

Charles-Antoine Coypel IV (1694–1752) was a French Rococo painter and director of the Académie Royale. Heir to a dynasty of artists, he designed elaborate tapestry cartoons, particularly Don Quixote illustrations, while directing the academy from 1747 until his death.
