Christian Rohlfs

Christian Rohlfs (1849–1938) was a German Expressionist painter and printmaker who overcame physical disability to achieve artistic mastery. At age 60, he began intensive printmaking, producing 185 woodcuts and linocuts influenced by Van Gogh and Emil Nolde.
