Edouard Louis Dubufe

Édouard Louis Dubufe (1819–1883) was a French academic portrait painter and one of the most fashionable portraitists of the Second Empire's high society, alongside Franz Xaver Winterhalter. A pupil of his father Claude-Marie Dubufe and of Paul Delaroche, his elegant likenesses of aristocrats and royalty earned him the Légion d'honneur and a steady stream of court commissions. Master Canvas Art offers 7 hand-painted oil reproductions of Edouard Louis Dubufe's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
