Eugène Joseph Verboeckhoven (1798–1881) was a Belgian painter, sculptor, etcher, engraver, and lithographer renowned for animal subjects and animated landscapes. A master of sheep and birds rendered with meticulous observation, he synthesised studied composition with idealized nature.
