Franz Ittenbach

Franz Ittenbach (1813–1879) was a German Romantic painter and devout Nazarene, exclusively devoted to religious themes and church decoration. Studying under Wilhelm Schadow at the Düsseldorf Academy, he travelled to Rome to absorb Italian tradition. His frescoes adorned European chapel walls and palatial chapels with spiritual intensity. Master Canvas Art offers 2 hand-painted oil reproductions of Franz Ittenbach's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
