Giuseppe de Nittis

Giuseppe De Nittis (1846-1884) was one of the most important Italian painters of the 19th century, merging Salon art with Impressionism. Born in Barletta, Apulia, he studied in Naples before moving to Paris in the 1870s. In 1874, Edgar Degas invited him to exhibit at the First Impressionist Exhibition—the only Italian artist to participate. De Nittis later embraced pastels, creating notable portraits of literary and artistic figures. He died suddenly of stroke in 1884 at age 38. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of Giuseppe de Nittis's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
