Grigory Gurkin

Grigory Ivanovich Gurkin (1870–1937) was a Russian landscape painter and the first professional artist of Altai ethnic origin. Trained as an icon painter, he studied under the celebrated Ivan Shishkin. His monumental landscapes of Altai mountain scenery, most famously 'Khan Altai' (1907), lend epic grandeur to his native region. His work established Siberian landscape tradition and influenced twentieth-century regional art movements. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of Grigory Gurkin's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
