Konstantin Westchilov

Constantin Westchiloff (c.1877–1945) was a Russian-American painter trained at the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg under Ilya Repin. After receiving the Kuindzhi prize in 1905, he completed marine and historical commissions for the Russian Admiralty, then lived in Italy and France during the 1920s and 30s before settling permanently in New York in 1935.
