Lesser Ury

Lesser Ury (1861–1931) was a German Impressionist painter best known for atmospheric scenes of Berlin's rain-soaked streets, gas-lit cafés, and twilight cityscapes that anticipate the moody urban realism of the early 20th century. Trained in Düsseldorf, Brussels, and Paris, he was a major figure of the Berlin Secession and a favorite of the German-Jewish bourgeoisie of the Wilhelmine era. Master Canvas Art offers 6 hand-painted oil reproductions of Lesser Ury's work.

Our promise

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
