Paul César Helleu

Paul César Helleu (1859–1927) was a French oil painter, pastel artist, drypoint virtuoso and designer celebrated for radiant portraits of Belle Époque society women. A close friend of John Singer Sargent, he designed the Grand Central Terminal's night sky ceiling mural. He produced over 2,000 drypoint prints.
