Petrus Gerardus Vertin

Petrus Gerardus Vertin (1819–1893) was a Dutch Romantic painter based in The Hague, known for atmospheric townscapes — sunlit and snow-covered streets, market squares, canals, and town gates. A pupil of the celebrated veduta painter Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove, he developed a recognisable manner combining aligned house facades, prominent church towers, and small narrative figures. His works are held by the Rijksmuseum, the Gemeentemuseum, and the Centraal Museum Utrecht. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of Petrus Gerardus Vertin's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
