Robert Harris

Robert Harris (1849–1919) was a Welsh-born Canadian painter and the most renowned portraitist in Canada during the late nineteenth century. After training at the Slade and Paris under Léon Bonnat, Harris became a founding member of the Royal Canadian Academy (1880) and served as its president. His iconic The Fathers of Confederation (destroyed 1916) remains a defining image of Canadian nationhood. Master Canvas Art offers 1 hand-painted oil reproduction of Robert Harris's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
