Thomas Faed (1826–1900) was a Scottish genre painter who achieved enormous popularity in Victorian Britain with sentimental scenes of Scottish rural and family life. Elected a Royal Academician in 1864, his images of cottage interiors, emigrant farewells, and humble domestic moments were widely engraved and reproduced throughout the English-speaking world. Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
