Valentine Cameron Prinsep

Valentine Cameron Prinsep (1838–1904) was an English painter and writer associated with the Pre-Raphaelite circle and a friend of Burne-Jones, Watts, and Rossetti. A Royal Academician trained in Paris under Gleyre, he was best known for grand historical, literary, and Indian-themed compositions, including his monumental "Imperial Assemblage at Delhi" commissioned to commemorate the 1877 Delhi Durbar.
