William Rothenstein

Sir William Rothenstein was an English painter, printmaker, draughtsman, lecturer, and writer on art. Though he covered many subjects – ranging from landscapes in France to representations of Jewish synagogues in London – he is perhaps best known for his work as a war artist in both world wars, his portraits, and his popular memoirs, written in the 1930s. More than two hundred of Rothenstein's portraits of famous people can be found in the National Portrait Gallery collection. Master Canvas Art offers 4 hand-painted oil reproductions of William Rothenstein's work.

Painted by hand. Not printed.

Trained oil painters

Every canvas is painted by hand by a trained oil artist — no prints, no machine finishing. Each piece carries real brushwork, real texture, real layers.

Museum-grade pigment matching

We mix each pigment against high-resolution museum references. The greens of Monet, the gold of Klimt, the blues of Van Gogh — matched, not approximated.

Layered, cured, built to last

Oil paint is built in layers and allowed to dry between them — the way the originals were made. The result is a canvas with depth, weight, and decades of life.
